So normally any number of guys with a truck that work here will pick up 2x4's, which we use mostly to nail to the floor of semi's to secure the shipments we send out. But today I was looking for any excuse for a trip away from the office, so I took the SHO to homedepot to get some odds and ends (found a great deal on deWalt tape measures). I managed to load up 20 2x4's and still close the trunk! There was still room for plenty more too!
Haha, I promise my next SHO Project tagged post will have us back to our regularly scheduled performance upgrade programming.

Pretty cool. Imagine what a station wagon version would load.

I seriously wonder if this is one of Ford's interior design goals. My old 1998 SN95 Mustang could fit about the same amount of 2x4s also.

errmerrrgerrrssh that would be so much wood!
I bet I could've loaded at least 60. Haha. A wagon probably could hold double that.
...and yes, I do wish they made a wagon version of the Taurus for this m/y. Haha.

Lol, my '06 Fivehundred would swallow loads of wood just like this all day. (oh man that sounds bad).
I still had plenty of room left too. With the trunk open I bet I could haul like 70 of 2x4's, lol.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of their goals. My dad's '02 intrigue had folding rear seats, but for some reason they decided to make the hole from trunk to interior waay to small. Causing us to have to use my '97 jetta to pick up his new storm door.

Yep, I think you beat me in the "using your car as a truck" catagory. I only haul horse feed in my Mini.
